My experience
I possess wide experience in business and project advice in the intercultural
context as well as experience in the formation and management of
business enterprises.
Following my study of business administration (Betriebswirtschaft) and an
additional course in agricultural development at the Technical University,
Berlin, I worked in various areas of development cooperation between
1983 and 1999, largely for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische
Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH – (the German Agency for Technical
Cooperation). During this time, I gained varied experience in advisory,
moderation and training services, both in German and Spanish. I spent
a total of eight years on three consulting assignments in Honduras,
with intermittent stays in Germany. In addition, I set up two businesses
with partners: a ballet school in Frankfurt/Main (‘Dance Project’
with Malaika Kusumi) in 1986 and a tour operator in Honduras
(‘La Moskitia Ecoaventuras’ with Jorge Salaverri) in 1992.
My areas of work range from the promotion of co-operatives, to rural
development, institutional development, food and nutritional security and
gender.
My philosophy
The more I take all those persons seriously, with whom I am involved
- whether they are clients, partners, assistants, suppliers or others -
with their various interests and needs, integrating those interests and
needs into my problem-solving strategies, the better and more sustainable
my results.
The greater the benefit to be expected from a strategy and the greater the
number of persons who benefit from, and therefore make an enthusiastic
contribution to a strategy, the easier it is to achieve one’s aims.
My work should contribute to a stable balance between professional and
social responsibility and the private enjoyment of life.

together with my clients what aims should be achieved through our
